Perhaps the more jovial member of the “Hitboy and Chase N Cashe” producing duo, Cashe expanded his musical efforts to the pen Continue reading
Unlike hip hops history, the listeners’ anticipation of a tune may no longer be generated by the rapper’s vocal but by the immediate drop of an instrumental. “That fire” is no more a person; but a work, and it sweeps the nation faster than tour dates and a budget would conspire.
As we all know, most of a song’s public credentials go to the artist, but the anonymity of the producers is decreasing. Eyebrow raisers like Brooklyn’s Harry Fraud are slowly but surely taking the game; and for Fraud I’m sure there is not enough time in the day now that his success ship has set sail.
His catchy drop “La Musica de Harry Fraud” is buzzing in the headphones of any person with a taste for music that’s made to move. Having produced hits for French Montana, Rick Ross, Currency, and more it seems that MUSIC is what he is set to do.
From an initial spectator’s standpoint, with shoulder length copper hair and a pale white complexion, Harry Fraud looks like ‘Silent Bob’ with a surfer’s swag. One may come to think that working in a marijuana stocked studio is an essential for Fraud who is an apparent fan of winter hats, Polo gear, and rubber self promotion bracelets.
According to his “tweets”, his passion for music is beyond any industry payout. Having come from two musically inclined and involved parents, Harry Fraud was fortunate enough to see the ever-growing success and potential of the music industry during the 80’s and 90’s.
Given the tools to create, he fueled his desire and challenged himself to become a knowledgeable dynamic producer who is able to cater to the needs of various artist’s individuality. And, he is flexible enough to produce for multiple genres of music. He claims he is not distracted by the luxuries of his up and coming prosperity. His commitment lies in his passion to create good music. By his growing demand and countless hits both heard and unheard, we can be sure that Harry Fraud is very much a busy man in the studio.

Having stroked his own ego before he entered SOBz on January 15, 2013, Hot City hesitantly added, “there is a slim chance that I’ll lose to a girl I’ve battled before.” A strange coincidence, but “Mr. NYC” endured three elimination rounds to ultimately face Brooklyn’s very own ProducHERbeats – and his apparition.
She was an object of obvious appeal as she bounced around the stage in her red dress. Her body long dreadlocks swayed circles around the crowd while her powerful sounds fueled the anticipation only Hot City and I knew about.
Who could have figured?!…16 contestants, 3 very critical judges, and an anxious crowd later…and still his vision occurred! Following sarcastic constructive criticisms of Mister Cee, pointers from Peter Rosenberg, and screams from an anxious crowd, it was later decided—Mr. Hot City is a producer on fire and America’s Next Hot Music Producer!
In a post event discussion, Hot City affirmed that business continues as usual. He acknowledged that he simply sought the exposure of the event. He could have been eliminated, but as long as the crowd heard a Hot City banger, he was satisfied. Hot City confirmed his spot in the next battle as he anticipates defending his title. “I will bring my versatility to the next one”, he said laughing at the idea of competition.
With some industry names behind him, Hot City is well on his way to album credits. Somehow, with the help of an anonymous supporter, ANHMP judge Fred Da Godson was able to contact Hot City for some of his fire beats—a connection established due to the event.
The America’s Next Hot Music Producer battle also helped Hot City acquire more clientele. “I respect the competition because there wasn’t any prior political B.S. – no preconceived favoritism.” The crowds’ response and praise proved their respect for his efforts.
These days, Hot City can be found in his Manhattan studio, mixing and mastering your next radio hits.“I’m never going to filter myself for anybody and I talk to everyone universally.” He is the best at what he does and his unique sounds are what’s hot in New York City. After all, he does do it for his hometown.

Congratulations ! It was well deserved.
Originally from Connecticut, superb producer Steve Almighty aka Captain Planit, finally received his very much earned title of America’s Next Hot Music Producer.
After competing in five of the exclusive battles, he was pronounced a winner!
Despite a recent name change, this Brooklyn named and NY famed “white boy” has loyalty and dedication to the show and the crowds voices have demanded his respect . The crowd at SOBs welcomed some returning guests who immediately recalled Steve Almighty’s base bumping, chest popping sounds– and boy did he deliver!
He knew what to expect and brought his A-game. He knew what sounds to bring and he brought heat; but most importantly Steve Almighty knew himself, his capabilities as a producer, and he knew he had FIRE!!!!
Congratulations ! It was well deserved.
